Samson Debuts the Ultimate Harley Exhaust for the M8 Bagger / Street Glide FLHX

The most recent project to come through Samson’s R&D program is the development of our all new M8 True Dual Harley Exhaust system for the 2017 and 2018 Harley Davidson touring models – now in production and available through Samson Dealers and SamsonUSA.
After touring a few thousand miles on his new Harley Street Glide, it became apparent to Samson’s new owner, Mike, that the stock system needed a complete redesign. His reasons stemmed from practical experience while touring. Here is what Mike had to say about his M8 Bagger experience:
“When I bought my M8 Street Glide, my wife (Kim) and I went for a ride, it was early on a warm summer day and we spent much of it feeling the excessive heat from the exhaust. It was so bad that Kim has only ridden on the bike once because the heat was burning her foot. I could constantly feel vibration in the whole bike because the factory exhaust did not fit the bike as I think it should, not to mention the factory pipe did not give that deep Harley rumble when I pinned the throttle back. I still wanted to enjoy my rather expensive New Bagger with Kim, by the way she likes to ride, so I thought – hey let’s make the all-round ultimate True Dual system that’s not so hot on the feet, sounds nice at a street corner, has a deep rumble when in the passing lane and is not obnoxious to other motorists while still making great power”
The Samson team went to work and has now completed the ultimate M8 Bagger system. We have reduced exhaust heat for both the passenger and rider while following clean one of a kind lines. The new M8 system when coupled with Samson 4” mufflers adds about 10 percent horsepower and 10 percent torque. The fitment of this all new system is second to none in the industry and has eliminated excess vibration we have encountered in other M8 Bagger systems.
